Prague Hotel Kafka, belonging to the category 3 star Prague hotels, is located in a quiet area ten minutes walk from the Prague centre and offers pleasant and cheap accommodation in Prague. Hotel Kafka is very popular for its family atmosphere of a small hotel near Prague center.

In the vicinity of the Prague Hotel Kafka there are lots of restaurants and bars as well as shops, banks, pharmacies, fitness clubs, massage salons, hairdressers or manicurists. 250 m from the hotel there is a public transport stop on the Seifert Street.

The Kafka Hotel consists of two buildings facing each other across the street. The main building has a basement plus three storeys, a reception, breakfast room and a yard with parking. It has no elevator.
The dependence of the Kafka Hotel is across the street, facing the main building. It also has three storeys and no elevator.

The non-stop reception offers hygienic aids, beverages (beer, wine, soft drinks) and snack such as wafers, chips, bars and chocolate for sale.

This refurbished hotel offers Prague accommodation in a balcony house, which is so typical for Prague and Zizkov district itself. Hotel Kafka provides for its clients a peaceful location near the center with an easy and quick access to the eventful core of city. Only three tram stations separate the hotel from the Wenceslas Square – the most famous avenue of Prague center – which borders on the old part of Prague, the one so admired and visited by tourists from all over the world.

The Zizkov borough is well known for the great Czech personalities, who lived there. Such as the poet and journalist Karel Havlíček Borovský or the famous Franz Kafka, after whom the hotel is named.

Hotel Kafka was opened after a reconstruction in 1994. Hotel rooms were newly refurbished in 2007 including installation of new furnishing. Most of the rooms are accessible from the gallery that is located in a peaceful hotel atrium.

The hotel terrace above reception offers a pleasant place to sit and enjoy beverages or confectionary. The hotel is a garni-hotel without own restaurant. Parking is located at the courtyard of hotel, eventually nearby in hotel Amadeus which is 200 meters far from hotel Kafka.

The hotel accepts payments in CZK, EUR and credit cards MC, VISA, AMEX, Dinners, JCV. You can use the hotel’s exchange office.

The hotel allows dogs and pets for the fee of EUR 6 per night. In the reception you can borrow a hair dryer, electric kettle or an iron.

The clients can use a wireless internet connection in the hotel reception and in some rooms, free of charge. The guests can also rent a safe in the hotel reception to store their documents and valuables. The reception offers and arranges transfers, folklore evenings, boat cruises with programme or without programme, Prague sightseeing, tickets to theatres and museums.

The hotel gives a map of Prague to all guests with a reservation, including the important information. As a souvenir, the hotel offers books by Czech writers and illustrators as well as handmade marionettes.

Rooms of the Prague Hotel Kafka:

The hotel rooms provide a view of the street or the yard. On sunny days one can sit in a terrace on the 1st floor.
The hotel has mostly two or three bed rooms with the possibility of an extra bed. The bed position is fixed. The double bed rooms have the beds either together or separated. All the rooms have their own social facilities (toilet, shower), heating, TV with a satellite, telephone with direct dial. The room floor is covered with carpets. The bed blankets and the curtains match each other’s colour. The rooms are decorated with coloured or black-n-white paintings on the walls. In the reception and in the corridors there are handmade wrought copper decorations. In all rooms the windows can be opened and in summer there are fans, which compensates the absence of air-conditioning.

Services of the Hotel Kafka:

In the yard of the Kafka Hotel there are 4 parking places. The parking fee is 10 EUR a day and it must be booked in advance. If no parking place is vacant, we can arrange parking in the garages at the Amadeus Hotel (200 m far from us) for 10 EUR a day or we can recommend suitable public parking sites at Žižkov.

Prague 3 as well as Prague 1 and 2 are in the “blue zone”, where parking is possible only in selected places for CZK 40 per hour. In case of wrong parking, you risk having your car towed away by police and you will be fined.

Breakfasts are served in the richly coloured hotel breakfast room in the cellar of the hotel. Breakfasts are served every day between 7.30 and 10.30. The breakfast consists of coffee, tea, juice, milk, cold buffet table including fruit and vegetables and pastry. A good meal in a nice environment will give you enough energy for a whole day of sightseeing in the City of a Hundred Spires.
